Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
FitnessProGuide is built on a privacy-first principle: we collect the absolute minimum required to operate the site.
Data we do not collect
- Calculator inputs (height, weight, age, etc.) - all calculations run entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.
- Personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it.
- Health or medical records of any kind.
Data we may collect
- Email address - only if you choose to save or email your results. Never used for unsolicited marketing.
- Anonymous analytics - page views, calculator usage counts, device type, and browser type via Google Analytics (anonymized IP).
- Technical logs - standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page visited) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited data we collect solely for:
- Sending you calculator results or saved plans you explicitly requested.
- Improving our tools based on anonymized, aggregated usage patterns.
- Sending product updates - only with your explicit opt-in consent.
- Maintaining site security and diagnosing technical issues.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
4. Data Storage & Security
All calculator inputs are processed locally in your browser via JavaScript. No health data is ever transmitted to or stored on FitnessProGuide servers.
If you provide an email address, it is stored with industry-standard encryption. We use TLS/HTTPS on all pages. Access to any stored data is strictly limited to authorized personnel.
5. Third-Party Services
We integrate a small number of third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics - anonymous usage analytics (Google Privacy Policy).
- Cloudflare - CDN and DDoS protection. May process IP addresses in transit.
We do not embed social-media tracking pixels or third-party advertising scripts.
6. GDPR & Your Rights (EU/EEA Residents)
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Right of access - request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification - request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure - request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restriction - request that we restrict processing of your data.
- Right to data portability - receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object - object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@fitnessprogide.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
FitnessProGuide is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
